26.02.2011. The ZSP FAU and organize international day of action in the OBI stores in Poland and Germany in February 25-26, pickets were held in about 20 cities in Poland and Germany, protesting against poor working conditions and union repression in OBI .
The action campaign ZSP was initiated by the beginning of the year as some of you / but are partners of some of the OBI / but workers in the cities who started an Internet network. The main reason why the campaign was started incidents were union repression in the shop in Krakow. Until now, the OBI fired a union leader there, another threatened with dismissal and refused to renew the contract of a third. In Walbrzych, a worker who spoke out against poor working conditions received a call discipline. News about forming a union in the OBI, which unions had not provided the union pioneer in the chain was suppressed in 2001 has employed / them around the country talking about working conditions in shops and on what they could do about them.
The
/ the sisters / the FAU quickly offered support, noting that the company also had a terrible reputation for union repression in Germany. As a result, there are very few workers' representation in the OBI stores in Germany.
FAU shows that the OBI Tengleman belongs to the group, which owns some supermarket chains and hypermarkets, including Kaiser's and Plus. During the International Day of Action in solidarity with workers of the OBI, the FAU ZSP and told people some of the demands of workers in Poland to receive an increase of 125 euros to replace old equipment and dangerous ( especially forklifts), improving measures of health and safety, to end wage discrimination against women, stop repression of trade unionists and remove the electronics sellers. Worker / s, customers and passers-by in both countries expressed their broad support for these actions.
On February 25, a protest was held in Berlin. On day 26 there were demonstrations in Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow, Katowice, Czestochowa, Dabrowa Gorniczna, Gorzow, Aachen, Kiel, Bonn, Freiburg, Halle, Hamburg, Solingen, Opladen, Hilden, Russelsheim and Recklinghausen. Some cities have declared that they would do in the next day.
