creative economy
to post to the city's Development (Hamburg, Berlin), I have drawn attention to a new potential for property locations: the Conversion of former problem in neighborhoods livable neighborhoods by attracting artists and other creative people ("Dekokirschen"). This is now in the Ruhr area in connection with Iniatives Capital of Culture 2010, the clock basis for a value of the property to create the Capital of Culture year and due to the influx of creative businesses a new perspective.
Hans-Ludwig Brauser, Managing Director of the Economic Development of the Ruhr: "The creative industries are a growth industry that is used by many people still underestimate." should only be
all aware, especially the creative partner, that it is always a temporary use to the profitable end use, then, from the creative industry can no longer be funded. The benefit has long-term real estate owners, the high initial investment for the rental savings and prevent the neglect of vacant properties. Cynical sounding the word of the "end times charm" of vacant former industrial buildings, of which the creators are so attracted Sun
What remains are the later senile residential areas affluent retirees, while the creative people had long been looking for other cheaper neighborhoods.

A Youth Library of adventure
In 2006 in Weimar, the boy re-established publishing house, a publisher, through his series "Knabe's youth library" with its colorfully illustrated books to every child in East Germany was known in 1984 and disbanded after the death of the publisher Wolfgang Knabe and transferred to the Post Riders Publishing hall. The city of Weimar Museum presents a special exhibition of 28 November 2009 to 14 February 2010 a comprehensive show of works and materials on the history of the publishing house, which is without doubt the Weimar city's history. A companion book by Jens Kirsten "root princesses, detectives and a youth library full of adventure - the story of the boy brothers publishing house" describes the publishing history as it still can be reconstructed (the publisher's archive after the transfer of Publisher of the Post tab-Verlag Halle lost ) and an extensive bibliography of all children and young people since 1945. The exhibition was through the Thuringian Literaturrat in cooperation with the Literary Society Thuringia, the city museum in Weimar and the Duchess Anna Amalia Library developed. The latter has completed its inventory of the book series is now largely. was founded
Weimar in 1932 as the publishing and print publishing house in Lutherhof Weimar KG Gebr boy boy by Gerhard (1902 - 1961) and Wolfgang Knabe (1906 - 1983) with financial and technical Support of the father, Charles Frederick Knabe (1884 - 1965), which is already 1912 to 1932 was at Weimar in the rumen Publisher Scherf street work (including this publishing house was the "General Thuringian Newspapers Germany," out).
After 1945 the brothers a boy has focused exclusively on the Weimar Verlag publishing children's books. After the initial publication of children's picture books (including a book of drawings by the professor at the State University of Architecture Horst Michel "The colorful toy village" in 1947) publishers have created with "Knabe's youth library" a unique concept that withstood the impact and control measures of the East German literary scene and offered a survival strategy as a private publisher. Between 1945 and 1984 released 256 tracks with numerous reprints of over 100 authors. They included Herta Fischer, Inge Müller, Walter Conrad, Hanns Krause, Hans-Günter Krack, Martin himself, Wolfgang Held and Rudolf white. Artists such as Walter Klemm, Fritz Lattke, Engelbert saver, Horst Hausotte and Hans Wiegand illustrated books and designed the series so characteristic for the bindings. Especially, it has done me the show in the exhibition original drawings of these artists.
the reopening of the publisher in 2006 by Tim Steffen and boy, the grandson of the former publisher, will continue a tradition and one can wish for publishing success.
place in my library, a reprint a facsimile edition of the Weimar printing and publishing house Gebr boy KG Weimar from 1941 "Theophrastus Paracelsus - Prognostication AUFF XXIIII JAR future", published by the librarian Edward Strübing (in December dismissed in 1945 because of his affiliation with the Nazi party from the civil service) was in a limited edition of 750 pieces counted. My copy bears the number 15 and has a handwritten inscription on the pediment of the publisher of the "Library Director Paul Ortlepp" dated 05/16/1945, but this was due to his early death, this office engaged a few months.

Klimagate
The worst on air gate is not the fact that the duty of man in global Erwärmumg is now really questioned. The really bad thing is the direction in which our society is slipping. Whether humans to blame for the climate or not does not change much on climate change itself really bad is the revelation of how many sciences. Once added, the Catholic church not long ago, their mistakes against Galileo Galilei, has to be found now, that in some (climatological) faculties of the spirit of the Inquisition again taken hold. Opposition is not tolerated. The minaret initiative confirms nor to whom it has not been clear: Liberalism is a fragile good and comes quickly under fire from all sides (both opponents of the minaret and [not as common in Switzerland] from the Muslim side).
The states in climate science have long been about as serious as those in the economy: politically exploited, in particular the IPCC. "Galileo", "Hayek's" and even "Keynes'" have in both the mainstream dominated domains do not have much to say. But opposition is the mother of all sciences and also the engine of democracy. Without the high valuation of any critical analysis can not survive both. After all, who brooks no opposition, which will eventually also be denied even the language.

I'm 5 Wk 3 D Pregnant When Did I Conceive
20 years fall - second
On 10 November 2009 I have written on the occasion of 20 years fall on past or existing walls in the world. Suitable for that I would like to draw attention to an opulent text and picture book:
"walls as boundaries"
Edited by Astrid Nunn
Verlag Philipp von Zabern, Mainz 2009
216 pages, 83 Fig
bound 29,90 €.
who lives in Würzburg antiquity researcher Astrid Nunn and other experts in the field tell the story of border walls - from the Amorites wall in Mesopotamia (2032 BC) to today's walls - Baghdad security zone, the boundary of the claimed by Morocco Sahara or the border wall between Israel and Palestine, the Great Wall, the Berlin Wall, Hadrian's Wall and the Limes. Reassuringly, all these walls of the past were eventually overcome, for the remaining we want just that.
