By 9 November is thought of at all channels of the opening of the Berlin Wall in 1989. Apparently forgetting that in the world now plenty of other "walls" are that will have a similar deterrent as the wall or fence the border between East and West Germany. What is special about the border situation in Germany was that it was directed against its own people, while the new fences and walls to prevent intruders from outside. How nice it would be if we all these walls and fences are no longer needed and they would visit only as archaeological sensations like the Great Wall.
